Product details

Sta-Rite 27001-0051 is the safety latch for the clamp ring used on the System 2 PLM and PLD filter families. It is the genuine factory part.

What it does

These filters split into two halves held together by a band clamp ring. The safety latch is the piece that keeps the ring closed once it has been tightened. It is a small part doing a serious job, because the tank is under pressure whenever the pump runs.

Where it is used

It is called out on a wide spread of parts breakdowns: the System 2 modular media PLM tanks, the PLD tanks, the aboveground PLM and PLD cartridge systems, and the System 2 modular DE PLDE36 and PLDE48. The same latch also appears on AquaTools permanent media AT84100 and AT84150 and on the AquaTools DE AT8230 to AT8236 filters.

Before you order

Compare the latch you are removing against the picture. Replace a latch that is cracked, distorted or has lost its spring rather than reusing it, and never run the filter with the latch missing.
