Product details

The Hayward ECX1287 is the rubber o-ring that seals the gauge adapter on Perflex extended cycle DE filters. It is the genuine Hayward part.

Where it sits

The pressure gauge threads into an adapter, and the adapter seals to the filter with this o-ring. It is a small joint carrying full system pressure, which is why it shows up as a slow drip long before anything else on the filter gives trouble.

Hayward lists it for the Perflex EC50, EC50A, EC50C, EC50AC, EC65, EC65A, EC75 and EC75A extended cycle DE filters.

Fitting

Take the adapter out, clean the groove, and inspect the old ring for flat spots, cracks or hardening. Seat the new one lightly lubricated so it does not roll or pinch as the adapter tightens back down.
