Pentair 152127 is the tank o-ring for filter tanks with an 18 inch diameter body. It is the genuine Pentair part, molded in rubber.
What it does
The tank o-ring sits in the joint between the two halves of the filter body. Every bit of pressure the pump makes is trying to push that joint open, and the ring is the only thing holding water in. When it hardens, flattens or nicks, the filter starts weeping at the band and the tank will not hold pressure.
