Jacuzzi 47038047R is the OEM tank o-ring for Sherlock filters. It seals the joint between the two halves of the filter tank, which is the one place on a filter that has to hold pressure every minute the pump runs.
Sizing
The ring measures 11-3/4" across the outside, 11-3/8" across the inside, and 3/16" thick, in rubber. Those three numbers matter more than they look: an o-ring a fraction too thin will not fill the groove under clamp load, and one a fraction too large rolls out of the groove as the tank closes.
When to replace it
Water weeping from the tank seam is the classic symptom. Rubber that has gone hard, taken a flat set in the groove, or picked up a nick from a screwdriver will not seal again however tight the clamp is drawn, and overtightening to chase the leak only damages the clamp. Fit a fresh ring instead, and make a habit of replacing it whenever the tank is opened for a filter service.
