Product details
This is the replacement silicone o-ring, part number 47044233R, also referenced as PL7130. It measures 7-1/4 in by 7-3/4 in by 1/4 in.
Why silicone
Silicone stays flexible longer than standard rubber in hot, chemically treated water. That matters on a large diameter seal like this one, because a stiff o-ring will not conform to the groove and starts weeping at the first pressure change.
Fitting it
Clean the groove out completely before the new seal goes in. Seat it without stretching it thin, and use a silicone safe pool lubricant rather than petroleum grease, which degrades the material. If the sealing faces are scored or pitted, clean them up as well; a new o-ring will not bridge a damaged surface.
