Product details

The Sta-Rite C104-42P is the genuine base with motor pad for Sta-Rite pool pumps. It is the assembly the motor sits on where the pump bolts down at the equipment pad.

What the base does

It carries the weight of the motor and holds it square to the pump body. That alignment is what keeps load off the shaft and the mechanical seal, so a base that has cracked or corroded through is not a cosmetic problem.

Before you order

The source lists this part by number rather than by a pump model list, so compare C104-42P against the parts breakdown for your specific Sta-Rite pump to confirm the match.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

What exactly is included?
The base assembly with its motor pad. The motor, pump body and hardware are separate items.
Which Sta-Rite pumps does it fit?
The source lists it only as the Sta-Rite base with motor pad under part number C104-42P, without a model list. Match the part number against your pump before ordering.
Why would a base need replacing?
It sits at the bottom of the equipment pad where water collects. Over years the mounting points corrode or crack, and a broken base lets the motor sag out of line with the pump.
Is it a genuine Sta-Rite part?
Yes, it is the Sta-Rite OEM part, number C104-42P.
