Product details

The Pentair ZBR12160 is the drain plug and o-ring kit for the Boost-Rite universal booster pump. It is the genuine Pentair part, supplied with the seal already matched to the plug.

Why this part goes

The drain plug is the piece that comes out every fall to empty the volute before a freeze, and it takes the abuse that goes with that. Threads get crossed, the head rounds off, the plug ends up in the grass, and the o-ring flattens after a few seasons of being squeezed and released. Once the seal is done the pump weeps at the plug and can draw air on the suction side, which shows up as a booster that primes badly or runs noisy.
