Product details

The Pentair 350037 is the diffuser o-ring for EQ Series commercial pool pumps. It is a new genuine Pentair part, and the listing notes it may also fit other Pentair pool pumps.

What it seals

The diffuser sits over the impeller and converts its velocity into pressure. This o-ring seals the diffuser against the housing, and without a good seal a share of that pressurized water simply circulates back to the suction side instead of going out to the pool. On a commercial pump that shows up as lost flow and a motor working harder than it should.

When to change it

Rubber takes a set. Any o-ring that has been clamped and heat cycled for a few seasons will be flat and hard, and it will not reseal properly once it has been disturbed. Replace it whenever the pump is opened for a shaft seal, an impeller or a diffuser, and check the old ring against this one before fitting if your pump is outside the EQ range.
