Product details
Pentair 354533 is the lid o-ring for Dynamo pool pumps. It is the genuine Pentair part and the seal between the strainer pot and its lid.
The symptom
A pump that will not hold prime, or that runs with a growing pocket of air in the basket chamber, is usually telling you about this o-ring. Heat and pool chemistry harden it over a few seasons until it no longer springs back against the lid, and from there the pump draws air instead of water.
Fitting it
Lift the old ring out of the groove, wipe the groove and the underside of the lid clean, then seat the new ring with a thin film of silicone pool lubricant. Avoid petroleum based grease, which swells the rubber.
