The Pentair 354531Z is the strainer pot lid for the Dynamo pool pump. It is original manufacturer equipment, the same lid the pump was built with.
Why the lid matters
While the pump runs, everything on the suction side is under vacuum, and that includes the strainer pot. The lid seals the top of it. A lid that is crazed, cracked or warped enough that it will not sit flat lets air past, and the pump loses prime, runs with air in the pot, or never primes properly to begin with. Owners usually go looking for a suction line leak long before they suspect the lid.
What is included
The lid alone. The lid O-ring is a separate part and should be replaced at the same time, since the old one has taken the shape of the old lid. A generic Dynamo lid from a third party manufacturer is available if you would rather not pay for the OEM part.
