The Pentair 354630Z is the genuine housing body for the Dynamo aboveground swimming pool pump. It is also carried under the number 354630.
What it is
The housing body is the wet end shell. The impeller turns inside it, the diffuser seats in it, and the suction and discharge plumbing lands on it. Everything else in the wet end depends on the body being sound and true.
Why bodies get replaced
Two things kill a pump body: water left in it over a freeze, and a fitting screwed in past the point the threads can take. Either one cracks the shell, and a crack on the pressure side will not hold epoxy or tape for long. Replacing the body is the repair.
What is in the box
The housing body only. The trap basket housing, the lid o-ring, the diffuser o-ring and the impeller are all separate Dynamo parts, and it is worth renewing the seals while the pump is apart.
