The Hayward SPX3200Z211 is the housing insert and seal plate spacer kit for the TriStar pump, covering models SP3200 and SP3200EE. It is the genuine Hayward part, and Hayward lists the kit as metal.

What the kit does

The insert and the spacer set how the wet end sits in relation to the seal plate. Get that geometry wrong, or reuse worn parts, and the pump can run noisy, lose prime or chew through a shaft seal well before its time.

When to fit it

Most owners buy this alongside a seal or impeller job. The pump is already apart at that point, the labor is spent, and putting fresh insert and spacer parts back in is the difference between a rebuild that lasts and one that comes back apart in a season.
