Product details

The Hayward SPX3207CM is the 3/4 HP impeller with screw for Hayward TriStar pool pumps. It is a new genuine Hayward part, listed with the TriStar pump models SP3200 and SP3200EE.

Match the horsepower

Hayward builds a different impeller for each horsepower in the TriStar range. The impeller is what determines how much water the pump moves and how hard the motor has to work to move it, so the rating on the part has to match the motor on the pump. This one is the 3/4 HP.

When to replace it

Weak flow with a clean strainer basket and a clean filter points at the impeller. Fine debris packs into the vane passages and slowly chokes it, and the vanes themselves wear over years of running. Both show up the same way: less water at the returns and a pump that takes longer to prime.

What is included

The impeller comes with its screw. Inspect the impeller ring and the housing o-ring while the pump is open, since those are the usual companions to this job.
