⌄The Hayward SPX3202Z1VSPE is the power end motor unit assembly for the TriStar VS 1.85 and the TriStar VS 900 Omni, in the non-SVRS version. It is the genuine Hayward part for the TriStar VS pump series.
What the power end is
On a variable speed pump the motor and its drive are the expensive half. When they fail and the housing, strainer and plumbing are still sound, the power end is the repair: it bolts to the existing wet end and the pump goes back into service without replumbing.
Before you order
Confirm your pump is the 1.85 HP TriStar VS or the TriStar VS 900 Omni and that it is not an SVRS model, which uses a different assembly. Plan on a new shaft seal and housing o-ring for the reassembly, matched to your pump model.
