The Hayward SPX3210X15Z1PE is the 1.5 HP UR power end for the TriStar pump. It is the genuine Hayward part, supplied as an assembly.
What a power end replaces
Rather than replacing an entire pump, a power end swaps the motor end of it. The strainer housing stays where it is, bolted into the plumbing, and the new power end goes on in place of the old one. That keeps the pipe work and the union connections untouched, which is the slow part of any pump change.
