Product details

The Waterco Micron S900 is a 36 inch top mount sand filter supplied with a 2 inch multiport valve. It offers 6.85 sq ft of filter area and is rated at 134 GPM, and it carries part number 2201364A.

How it filters

Micron filters work by depth filtration. Water is pushed down into the sand bed and dirt is trapped in the tiny spaces between the grains, so the whole depth of the media is doing work rather than just the top layer. Cleaned water passes through the laterals at the base and leaves through the multiport valve.

Built for the pad

The tank is fiberglass wound and rated UV and corrosion resistant. An inflow diffuser spreads incoming water evenly across the bed, and hydraulically balanced laterals draw it back out without channeling. A pressure gauge and a manual drain are built in, and the large base sits flat on the equipment slab.

Working pressure is 36 psi with a maximum working temperature of 50 C, which is 122 F.
