Product details

The Hayward Pro Series top mount sand filter in the 24 in. tank size, supplied complete with the SP0714T high capacity flow multiport valve. It is cataloged as W3S244T and also listed as S244T.

The tank

The tank is blow injection molded from reinforced thermoplastic in one unitized piece. There is no metal to rust and no clamped seam across the middle of the tank, which is where older filter designs tend to give trouble after years of pressure cycling.

The valve

The SP0714T top mount multiport valve sits directly on the tank and puts filter, backwash, rinse, recirculate, waste and closed on one handle. Backwashing a sand filter is a matter of turning the handle rather than repiping anything.

Delivery

The filter ships by freight. Plan for a curbside delivery and have help on hand to move the tank to the equipment pad.
