The Hayward W3S270T is the 27 inch Pro Series top mount sand filter, supplied with the 1.5" VariFlo control valve already paired to it. It is the largest tank in the top mount Pro Series range.
How a top mount filter is plumbed
On a top mount filter the multiport valve sits on the lid of the tank, so the pump line and the return line both land on the valve rather than on the side of the vessel. That keeps the plumbing above the sand bed and puts every function, filter and backwash included, on one handle at chest height.
