This is the Waterway Plastics 550-4470B replacement lid for the 425 square foot Waterway filter. It is the genuine Waterway part, sold on its own.
When you need one
Filter lids take the pressure and the sun, and they eventually crack, craze or warp. Once the lid stops sealing, the filter leaks or will not come up to pressure, and no amount of tightening the clamp fixes it. Replacing the lid brings the filter back without touching the rest of the assembly.
