Product details

The Hayward CCX1000B is the lower filter body for XStream cartridge filters, the bottom half of the tank that the cartridge element sits down into.

When you need one

A lower body gets replaced when the tank itself has failed: a crack, a split at a fitting, or a weep at the sealing seam that no amount of sealant or fresh o-rings will stop. It is also the answer when the sealing surface has distorted with age and keeps destroying o-rings after every service.

Which XStream filters does this fit?
The source names CC1000, CC1500 and CC2000 in one place and also includes CC1750 in another, so check the model on your filter label before ordering.
Is this the whole filter?
No. It is the lower body housing only, the bottom half of the tank. The upper body, lock ring, o-ring and cartridge are separate parts.
Why would I replace the lower body?
Usually because the tank has cracked, split at a fitting, or weeps at the seam and will not hold pressure. A distorted sealing surface that keeps chewing through o-rings is the other reason.
What else should I replace at the same time?
The tank body o-ring, since the filter has to come apart anyway and a used o-ring rarely seals well against a new surface. The lock ring and its safety clips are worth inspecting while you are there.
