Product details

The Sta-Rite 27002-0048S is the genuine OEM 48 sq ft filter module for the System:2 PLDE48 modular DE filter. It is the filtering element inside the tank.

How System:2 differs

Rather than a set of separate grids on a manifold, the System:2 modular DE design uses a single module. That makes replacement a lift out and drop in job instead of a rebuild, but it also means the whole module is what gets replaced when the element has had enough.

Size matters

This module is rated 48 sq ft, matched to the PLDE48. The PLDE36 in the same series uses its own smaller module, so check the model on the tank label before ordering.

When to replace

A module that no longer cleans up properly, one with torn fabric, or one letting DE back into the pool is finished. At that point washing it again will not recover the filtration.
