The Hayward ECX11194AT is the filter head with vent valve, in taupe, for Perflex EC65, EC65A, EC75 and EC75A DE filters. It is the genuine Hayward replacement and arrives with the vent valve as part of the assembly.

When it gets replaced

Filter heads live under pressure and in sunlight. Over the years they craze, crack around the vent boss, or reach the point where the valve no longer seals no matter what is done to it. At that stage the head is replaced as an assembly rather than repaired.
