Product details

The PoolTux Ultra Premium closing bundle for a 16'x25' oval above ground pool pairs a solid winter cover with a 35k chemical closing kit and a 4' x 8' air pillow. The cover itself is cut at 20'x29' oval, which builds in a 4 foot overlap past the pool wall so the cable has something to pull against once the winch is drawn tight.

The cover

It carries a 14 x 14 scrim weave and PoolTux's heaviest coating, with UV inhibitors built in and a black underside meant to help keep the water under it clear. The hem is double stitched with a sewn-in polypropylene cord, the edges are bound in commercial grade material and thread, and two non-rusting aluminum grommets are set every three feet around the perimeter.

Winch and cable

A non-rusting deluxe aluminum cable winch and a vinyl coated steel lock-down cable are included, threading through the grommets to draw the cover snug around the pool so wind cannot work it loose over the winter.

The kit and the pillow

The 35k chemical closing kit treats the water for the season before the cover goes on. The 4' x 8' air pillow floats under the cover in the middle of the pool, taking the pressure of expanding ice off the wall and crowning the cover so rain and snowmelt run off instead of collecting in a pocket.

Sizing and warranty

Order by the 16'x25' pool size, not the 20'x29' cover measurement: the extra material is the built-in overlap, not a mistake. The cover carries a 25 year manufacturer warranty, and a warranty card ships in the box along with the winch, cable, kit and pillow.
