Product details

The Lasco 436-040 is a 4 inch Schedule 40 PVC male adapter, with a slip socket on one end and male pipe threads on the other.

What it does

A male adapter converts a slip size pipe run to a threaded connection. The slip end glues onto 4 inch Schedule 40 pipe, and the threaded end screws into a female threaded fitting or equipment port.

Fit and compatibility

It fits 4 inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe on the slip side and any 4 inch female pipe thread connection on the threaded side.

Before you order

Confirm which side of your connection needs threads, since a female adapter is needed instead if the mating part is already male threaded. Clean and prime the slip socket and pipe end before gluing with PVC cement, and wrap the male threads with PTFE tape or thread sealant before assembly.
