Product details

The Oreq CAD008Z is Bio-Active cyanuric acid reducer, an 8 oz bag that lowers cyanuric acid levels in pool water through a biological process.

How it works

Rather than diluting the pool with fresh water, Bio-Active uses an all-natural blend that biodegrades cyanuric acid, leaving no harmful or unsightly residue behind. It is nontoxic, nonallergenic, and nonpolluting, and one 8 oz bag treats up to 25,000 gallons of water with a free chlorine level of no more than 7 ppm.

Use and application

Pour the bag into the skimmer with the pump running, and continue running the pump for at least 4 hours that day and 4 hours a day for the following week, or premix it with 5 gallons of water first if there is no skimmer. Bio-Active is recommended for outdoor pools only, and the CAD008Z is also listed under the earlier CAR-8 part number.
