Product details

The Paramount 004-402-0010-00 is the replacement flow switch for the Clear O3 system. It is the genuine Paramount part.

What it does

An ozone or UV sanitizer only works while water is passing through it, and running one dry is how they get damaged. The flow switch is the interlock that proves flow. When the pump runs and water moves, the switch closes and the system is allowed to fire. When flow stops, so does the system.

The symptom

A dead flow switch never confirms flow, so the unit stays off even though the pump is clearly running and the plumbing is full. Before condemning a controller or a lamp, check the switch.

Which system you have

Paramount lists this part number for the Clear O3 system and also against the Ultra UV system. Read the label on the unit at the pad and match the part number before ordering.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Which system does this fit?
It is the flow switch for the Paramount Clear O3 system. Paramount also lists the same part number against the Ultra UV system, so check the label on your unit before ordering.
What does a flow switch do?
It senses that water is actually moving through the unit. Without that signal the system will not fire, which keeps it from running dry.
My unit will not turn on. Could this be it?
It is one of the first parts to check. A failed flow switch never confirms flow, so the controller holds the system off even with the pump running.
Is it a genuine Paramount part?
Yes. It is Paramount part 004-402-0010-00.
