The Polaris 9-100-9030 is the genuine factory rebuild kit for the 380 pressure side automatic pool cleaner. It is the parts side of a full overhaul in a single box, and it comes with instructions.
What is in it
Running gear: three MaxTrax tires, two double side wheels, a single side wheel, three hub caps, eight ball bearings, three bearing shields, ten stainless E clips and the front and rear axle block kit. Drive: the pulley and drive shaft assembly, the drive train gear kit with turbine bearing, the small and large belt kit, and the upper and lower turbine housings. Water path: the thrust jet kit, two jet retainers, the water management system, the feed pipe and timer blank assembly, and the back-up valve. Sweep: the complete sweep hose with its barb, attachment clamp and adjustment screw. Plus the all purpose filter bag, the top and base assembly and the base weight.
Why do it all at once
A 380 does not usually fail on one part. Tires flatten, bearings roughen, belts stretch and jets erode over the same seasons, and replacing them one at a time means going back into the cleaner repeatedly for the same afternoon of work. The rebuild kit resets everything that wears in one sitting.
Before you start
Set aside a clear bench and work through the instructions in order. Keeping the old parts laid out as you remove them makes reassembly much faster, particularly around the drive train and the axle blocks.
