Product details

The Jandy R0358500 is the cartridge support for the CL Series and CV Series cartridge filters. It is the internal piece that holds the filter element in position inside the tank, and it is the genuine Jandy part.

What it does

A cartridge only filters properly if it sits square and seals at both ends. The support is what keeps it there under flow. When the support cracks or breaks, the element shifts, water bypasses the media, and the pool stops clearing even though the filter appears to be working normally.

Doing the job

The support is inside the tank, so replacing it means opening the filter. Since it is already apart, it is worth checking the tank body o-ring, the retaining ring and the outlet tube o-rings while you are in there. Those are the parts that fail next, and none of them are worth a second teardown.
