Product details

The CMP 25357-850-000 is a heavy duty J-style top manifold for the CV340, CV460, CV580, CL340, CL460 and CL580 cartridge filters.

What the top manifold does

It caps the cartridge assembly and holds every element in its correct position against the flow. All the water that leaves the filter passes through it, and it takes the mechanical load of the cartridges pressing up under pressure every time the pump starts. That combination is why manifolds crack and distort with age.

The heavy duty version

This is the heavier specification part in the J-style pattern, which is the sensible choice when the one you are pulling out has already failed once. It goes back in the same place as the original.

Symptoms of a bad manifold

Cartridges that sit crooked or will not seat, water that turns cloudy again days after a filter clean, and visible cracks around the ports when the lid comes off. Any of those means the manifold is letting dirty water past the elements rather than through them.
