This is the CMP 27515-154-000, a seven position top mount multiport valve built as a generic replacement for the Hayward SP0714T Vari-Flo XL. It also replaces Hayward SP-711-13.
What it fits
The valve is listed for the Hayward S164T, S166T, S180T, S190T, S210T, S220T, S244T and S245T sand filters. The flange measures 8 inches across and the ports are 1.5 in FPT. Maximum working pressure is 50 psi and maximum flow is 75 GPM.
The seven positions
Filter is where the handle spends almost all of its life. Backwash reverses water through the sand bed and out the waste port to clear trapped debris. Rinse follows a backwash so the dirty water left in the tank goes to waste instead of back to the pool. Waste bypasses the filter entirely, which is how you drop the pool level or vacuum heavy debris straight out. Recirculate sends water back to the pool without going through the tank, Closed shuts the valve off, and Winter is the position used to winterize.

The valve comes with a pressure gauge and an o-ring. Turn the pump off before moving the handle, on this or on any multiport valve.
