The Hayward SPX0715X32 is the 2 inch Vari-Flo multiport control valve assembly for the S200 and S240 side mount sand filters. It arrives as a complete valve, not as a bag of internals.

When to replace the whole valve

Most multiport problems are a spider gasket, a stem o-ring or a diverter, and those are worth fixing. Past a point they are not: a cracked body, a worn seat that will not seal on any position, or stripped threads mean the valve itself is finished. That is where a complete assembly saves a second trip.

Check the size and the model

This is the 2 inch valve. Hayward also builds a 1.5 inch Vari-Flo for the same S200 and S240 filters, and the two do not swap. Confirm the port size on the plumbing and the model number on the filter label before ordering.
