Product details

The Hayward SPX0710X32 is the Vari-Flo multiport valve for the S200 and S240 sand filters. It is made for those two filters and their 1.5 in. plumbing, and it is the replacement and upgrade for any filter that came with the older SP071113 valve.

Six positions, one lever

Filter, backwash, waste, rinse, closed and recirculate are selected with the lever action handle. An integral sight glass shows the backwash water, so you can watch it run clear before switching to rinse.

Built for flow

The valve body is molded from Hayward's PermaGlass XL material and engineered for maximum flow through the filter.

Confirm the fit

Before ordering, look for SP710XA-13 stamped into the valve body below the pump port, S-200-N on the bottom sweep elbow and S 200 P on the top filter connection. The valve to filter port center line measures 5 in. If your valve matches, this is the part.

Which filters does this valve fit?
Only the Hayward S200 and S240 sand filters with 1.5 in. plumbing ports. It also retrofits onto any filter that originally had the SP071113 valve.
How do I confirm I have the right valve?
Check the old valve for the markings: SP710XA-13 stamped below the pump port, S-200-N on the bottom sweep elbow and S 200 P on the top filter connection. The distance from the valve to the filter port center line is 5 in.
What are the six positions?
Filter for normal running, backwash to flush the sand bed, rinse to settle it afterward, waste to bypass the filter to the drain, recirculate to move water without filtering, and closed.
What is the sight glass for?
It shows the water leaving on backwash. Run the backwash until the glass clears, then switch to rinse.
