Hayward Nylon Washer

The Hayward SPX0710Z16 is the nylon and teflon washer that sits under the handle on Hayward multiport valves. Its only job is to take the wear as the handle is pressed down and rotated, so the handle does not grind into the valve lid over years of backwash cycles.

It is used across a range of Hayward valves: the 1-1/2 in. Vari-Flo top mount family (SP0710X, SP0711-13, SP0711-20 and SP0712), the 2 in. side mount SP0715 and SP0716, the SP0714T Vari-Flo XL found on Pro Series sand filters, the SP0704 four position valve and the SP0740DE 2 in. Selecta-Flo DE valve.

The washer measures 2-1/16 in. across the outside and 1-1/8 in. through the center. If the valve is already apart for a new spring, seal or handle, this is the moment to drop in a fresh one.
