The Hayward SPX0710XZ7 is the handle pin for Hayward multiport filter valves. It is the genuine Hayward part.
The part that stops the handle spinning
On a multiport valve the handle lifts against a spring, turns to the position you want, and drops into a detent. All of that only works if the handle is actually locked to the stem below it, and the pin is what locks it. When the pin shears or falls out, the handle still moves but the diverter underneath stays put, or worse, ends up parked between two ports. A valve between positions is not a cosmetic problem: it can push filtered water down the waste line or feed the pool through the backwash port.
