Product details

The Hayward SPX0710XBA17 is the genuine key, cover and handle assembly in black for the SP0710, SP0710X, SP0711 and SP0712 1-1/2 in. Vari-Flo multiport valves. It replaces the whole top of the valve in one piece: the cover, the key that diverts water beneath it and the handle that turns it.

Positions and ratings

Reading clockwise the six positions are Backwash, Recirculate, Rinse, Filter, Waste and Closed. The assembly carries the valve's ratings of 50 PSI (3.4 bar) rated pressure, 60 GPM rated flow and 10 PSI (0.7 bar) maximum head loss. The lid is stamped Patent No. 3640310, a quick way to confirm you are looking at a valve from this family.

Before you order

The cover o-ring is not included and must be bought separately. Since the o-ring is the seal between this assembly and the valve body, plan to fit a new one at the same time rather than reusing a flattened one. A white version of the same assembly is also available if you prefer to match an older valve.
