The Hayward SPX0710XF is the genuine replacement handle for Vari-Flo multiport valves. The original part is identified by SP-710X-F stamped into the plastic on the underside of the handle.
Why handles break
A multiport handle is levered against a spring loaded valve stem every time the position changes, and on a valve that has stiffened with age that takes real force. Over enough seasons the plastic fatigues at the hub and either cracks or rounds out, and the handle starts turning without moving the stem underneath.
What you get
This is the handle by itself. The handle pin and the internal valve parts are separate items, so if the valve is stiff or leaking as well as missing a handle, look at those at the same time. If a new handle still feels heavy to move, the valve internals are the next thing to check rather than the handle.
