Product details

The Hayward SPX0714Z1 is the cover screw set for the SP0714T Vari-Flo XL top mount valve, supplied as a set of six. It is the genuine Hayward part.

Why they get replaced

Cover screws are the first casualty of any job that means opening a multiport valve. Years of pool water and grit seize them into the housing, and by the time the cover comes off, at least one head is rounded or the thread is stripped. Putting the old ones back in guarantees a harder job next time.

Replace the set

Fit all six together. A cover held by a mix of new and tired screws clamps unevenly against the gasket underneath, which is exactly the condition that causes weeping around the valve cover.

Is the valve SP0714T or SP714T?
Both spellings refer to the same Hayward Vari-Flo XL top mount valve. The source uses SP0714T in one place and SP714T in another.
Does this include the valve cover?
