Product details

The Hayward SPX0714G is the valve position decal for the SP0714T top mount multiport valve, the Vari-Flo XL fitted to Hayward Pro Series sand filters. It marks all six handle positions and is printed in more than one language.

Why it wears out

The label sits on top of the valve, face up, in full sun, and gets a hand on it every time the filter is backwashed. Between UV and wear the printing fades, and eventually there is nothing to line the handle up against. Setting a multiport to the wrong position is an easy way to send dirty water back to the pool or to blow a cartridge of sand down the return, so a readable label is worth the few minutes it takes to fit.

Fitment

The SP0714T valve only. Hayward uses different position layouts on its other multiport valves, so check the part number cast into your valve body before ordering.

The Hayward SP0714T top mount multiport valve, the Vari-Flo XL used on Pro Series sand filters. It does not fit the other Hayward multiport valves.
