What two speed buys you
High speed is for the jobs that need flow, vacuuming, backwashing and pushing water through a heater. Low speed handles ordinary filtration. Because power draw falls away sharply as speed drops, running the long filtration hours on low is where the savings live, and the pump is noticeably quieter doing it.
