Product details

The Pentair 354815S is a 2 HP totally enclosed fan cooled motor on the 56Y frame, wired for 208 to 230 volt single phase supply. Pentair lists it for the WhisperFloXF pump.

Why a TEFC motor

An open drip proof motor pulls cooling air straight through the windings, which means it also pulls in everything else on the pad: mist off the deck, lawn clippings, dust and insects. A totally enclosed fan cooled motor seals the windings and cools the outside of the frame instead. It runs a little warmer by design but survives far better in exposed and damp installations.

Before you order

Confirm three things against the motor you are pulling off: the 56Y frame, the 2 HP rating and the 208-230V single phase supply. Frame size sets the bolt pattern and shaft, and horsepower has to match what the wet end and the plumbing were sized for.
