Product details
The Polaris 9-100-3009 is the pressure relief valve for the Polaris 360 pressure side pool cleaner. It is the genuine Polaris part.
What it does
A pressure side cleaner is driven by water from a booster or a dedicated line, and it only works properly inside a narrow pressure band. The relief valve bleeds off anything above that band. Without it the cleaner sees whatever the pump delivers, which is usually more than it wants.
Symptoms of a bad valve
An over pressured 360 races around the pool, jumps at the waterline, climbs walls it should not climb, or parks itself in one corner. Owners often chase the wheels, the hose or the backup valve first. The relief valve is cheap, easy to replace and worth ruling out early.
