Product details
Polaris 9-100-3011 is the pressure relief valve for the 360 Black Max pressure side pool cleaner, supplied in black to match the cleaner.
What it does
A pressure side cleaner is driven by water from the booster pump, and it only sweeps its pattern properly inside a narrow band of pressure. The relief valve bleeds off anything above that band. Too much pressure and the cleaner races, jumps out of its pattern or wears its drive parts early. Too little and it crawls.
When to change it
If the 360 is running faster than it should, tracking badly, or the relief valve is visibly cracked or stuck, this is the part to replace. Check the wall fitting restrictor at the same time, since both affect how much pressure reaches the cleaner.
