Product details

The Intermatic P1121 is a heavy duty 15 amp outdoor timer built into its own weather rated enclosure. It plugs into a standard grounded outlet and the load plugs into it, so nothing has to be wired and no panel work is involved.

Setting it

Timing is mechanical, using removable trippers on the dial. As supplied it gives two on and two off events a day, and adding more trippers adds more events. The shortest interval the mechanism will hold is thirty minutes, which suits filter runs and lighting rather than short bursts.

What it will carry

It is rated at 15 amp, 1800 W for resistive or tungsten loads, and to a 1 HP air conditioner motor load at 15 FLA and 90 LRA. That covers the filter pump on a portable pool or spa, which is what it was designed around, and it works just as well on outdoor lighting, signs, fans and engine block heaters.

Outdoors

The housing is outdoor rated with a flip cover over the receptacle, so the connection is protected from the weather while the timer is in service.
