The Intermatic PF1103MT is a freeze protection timer with an integrated thermostat, for 120/240V applications. It is supplied as the mechanism.

What it protects against

Standing water in pool plumbing is what breaks pipes, pumps and heater exchangers in a cold snap. This unit watches the outdoor temperature and turns the pump and heater on when it drops, so water keeps moving through the equipment and the plumbing instead of sitting still long enough to freeze.

Timer plus thermostat

Intermatic makes both thermostat only units and timer units. This one is the combination: the timer runs the normal schedule and the integrated, adjustable thermostat overrides it when the temperature calls for it. You set the point at which that override happens.

Mechanism, not a boxed unit

This listing is the mechanism, intended to go into an existing enclosure or a panel where the housing is already in place. If you need the complete unit in a Type 3R metal enclosure, Intermatic offers those under separate part numbers.

No. This is the mechanism. Intermatic offers freeze protection in a Type 3R metal enclosure under separate part numbers if you need the housing as well.
