The Pleatco X15-ULT-A6-Q4 is a four pack of Advanced Ultra replacement cartridges for the Pentair Clean and Clear Plus 420 filter. Each cartridge is 7 in. in diameter with 105 sq ft of filter area, matching the OEM cartridge the CCP420 was built around, and the four together replace the complete set in the tank.

Why a set of four

The Clean and Clear Plus 420 splits flow across four cartridges on a common manifold. Replacing all four at once keeps the pressure drop even so no single cartridge is doing more than its share, and it puts the filter back to its rated 420 sq ft.

Ultra or Xtreme Blue

This is the Advanced Ultra grade. Pleatco also offers the same fit in its Xtreme Blue line, with antimicrobial protection in the media and a bandless design that Pleatco says lowers operating pressure and simplifies cleaning. Either one fits the CCP420; the Xtreme Blue set is listed separately.
