The Pentair 179136 is the cartridge set for the Clean and Clear Plus 520 filter, supplied as a four pack. It is the genuine Pentair part.

Replace them as a set

The four cartridges in a Clean and Clear Plus tank share the work evenly, and they age at the same rate. Fitting one or two new elements alongside older ones pushes most of the flow through the new cartridges, so they load up quickly and the set never performs like a clean filter. Changing all four together is the way to get a full season out of them.

Cleaning versus replacing

Pleated cartridges are meant to be rinsed and reused several times. They are finished when a thorough cleaning no longer returns filter pressure to its clean startup reading, or when the pleats stay matted, the fabric goes thin or an end cap separates.

Will it fit a Clean and Clear Plus 320 or 420?
No. Those tanks take their own cartridge sets. This part is for the 520.
