Quick overview

  • Genuine part Kreepy Krauly EC65, the factory axle for the large wheels.
  • Legend family Listed against the Legend three wheel and four wheel versions, the Legend II LX2000 and LX5000G, and the Legend LL505G.
  • Plastic Molded in plastic, as the original is.
  • The large wheels only This is the axle for the large wheels, so check which wheel on your cleaner has failed before ordering.
  • Wheels that will not turn A seized or snapped axle stops the wheel dead, and the cleaner then drags rather than driving its pattern.
  • Look at the bearings too While the wheel is off, the wheel bearings and the wheel screw are worth inspecting, since they wear alongside the axle.

Product details

The EC65 is the genuine Kreepy Krauly axle for the large wheels on the Pentair Legend cleaners. It is molded in plastic, as the original is.

What it fits

The part is listed against a wide slice of the Legend family: the three wheel and four wheel versions of the Legend, the Legend II LX2000 and LX5000G, and the Kreepy Krauly Legend LL505G. It serves the large wheels, so identify which wheel on your cleaner has failed before ordering.

Why it matters

A Legend cleans by driving a set pattern across the pool. When an axle snaps or seizes, the wheel stops turning and the cleaner drags instead of driving, missing whole sections of floor. While the wheel is off, look at the bearings and the wheel screw as well: they sit in the same assembly and wear at much the same rate, so replacing them together avoids a second teardown.
