The CMP 52000-220-110 is the replacement cell for the PowerClean Salt Ultra 320 chlorine generator, rated for pools up to 20,000 gallons.

What it fits

The cell serves the CMP PowerClean Ultra 320 and PowerClean Econ 320, and it also fits the SGS Breeze 320, SGS Wave 320 and SGS 1FIN-CEBRZ320. All of these use the same 320 series cell.

Why cells are replaced

A salt cell is a wearing part. The plates inside generate chlorine from the salt in the water and lose capacity over years of service, so output falls even though the control unit is fine. When the salt reading and the settings both check out and chlorine still will not hold, the cell is the part to change, and the existing electronics stay in place.

Does the control unit come with it?

No. This is the replacement cell on its own. The existing control unit stays where it is.

How do I know the cell is worn out?

If the salt level and the settings check out but chlorine will not hold, the cell has usually run out of plate life. Cells are consumables and are expected to be replaced periodically.
