What it does

The by-pass spring drain valve opens to drain water from the heater metal heat exchanger, a step used when winterizing or servicing the heater. Draining the heat exchanger before cold weather helps prevent trapped water from freezing and cracking it.

Fit and compatibility

This valve fits Raypak professional gas pool heater models 266A, 336A, and 406A that use a metal heat exchanger, and it threads into a 1/8 in. NPT port. It carries UPC 840891030584 and Raypak part number 013793F.
