Product details

The Pentair 521171 is the external power supply for the IntelliChlor IC15 salt chlorine generator. It takes 115V line power and supplies the 24V the cell runs on. It is the genuine Pentair original equipment part.

What it does

A salt chlorine generator makes chlorine by passing low voltage current through the cell plates. The external supply is what converts household power down to the 24V the IC15 needs. When it fails, the cell has nothing to work with and the system goes completely dark.

Before you replace it

Confirm the circuit feeding the supply is actually live, since a tripped breaker or a dead outlet looks the same from the panel. If power is present and the IC15 still shows nothing, the supply is the part to change. It mounts outside the cell, so the swap does not involve opening the plumbing.
